While on YOUNG ISLAND, your accommodation will have an ocean view,
refrigerator, hair dryer, wall safe, ceiling fan, open air garden shower,
and private patio. Your breakfasts, lunches (or picnics) and dinners
will have six choices of breads (coconut, banana, cinnamon, wheat, white,
raisin) baked in our kitchen, plus a choice of entrees served under our
thatched roofs on the beach. When you arrive and depart on St. Vincent,
a taxi will be arranged. And…best of all, YOUNG ISLAND is casual
so packing for this vacation is easy. Slacks and a collared shirt
for dinner is about as dressy as you'll need to be.
Our complimentary amenities include beach hammocks, chaise lounges,
and beach towels, windsurfers, kayaks, pedaloes, small sailboats, snorkels,
masks and flippers, lagoon pool, and lighted tennis court with rackets
and balls. Our ferry is available any time, day or night, to carry
guests between St. Vincent and Young Island. A baby sitter can be
arranged locally at $5 per hour with a 3 hour minimum.
RESORT NEWS
Since our plunge pool cottages have become so popular, we recently added
a beautiful plunge pool at cottage #28 on the high hillside. We now have
five cottages with plunge pools and one with its own swimming pool.”
Following the rebuilding and redecorating of our Bar Lounge earlier
this year, we have continued the enhancement of our bar area by repaving
our bar patio and making it larger, and also re-tiling the Main Bar, all
of which has added to the attractiveness of the area.
New Feature: Spa Kalina sits amongst the tropical foliage
on the hillside of Young Island with services including: massage, reflexology,
Indian Head massage, facials, manicures, pedicures, paraffin wax treatments
and waxing. Treatments are available a la carte, please view
the spa page for more information.
ROOM CATEGORIES
Superior: 19 king bedded cottages nearest the beach and shoreline,
or low on the hillside.
Deluxe: 4 larger king bedded cottages with a sitting area within
the bedroom, or with a very large private patio.
Luxury with pool: 5 full suites with bedroom; separate sitting
room; private
plunge pool; coffee maker; and CD player. Two suites are beachside
with king
bed, three suites are hillside with 2 queen beds.
Duvernette Suite: Our hillside suite has spacious separate living
and dining areas; a small private infinity-edge pool; furnished deck with
chairs, umbrella, & hammock; coffee maker; kettle; and CD player.

SAILAWAY PACKAGE: A
7 night package with 5 nights on Young Island and 2 nights aboard a yacht.
You will sail the Grenadines including the islands of Bequia and Mustique.
Sailaways anchor for the night with optional sightseeing and snorkeling
at each stop. A captain and cook will prepare your meals on board.
Yachts sleep one or two couples and crew; you may be sharing the yacht
with another couple. Sole us of the yachts can be guaranteed at $50
per person daily, subject to availability. Sailing dates cannot be
confirmed prior to arrival and same room is not guaranteed on return from
sailing.

ST. VINCENT will give each diver 10 dives.
Dive rates include all equipment (except for computers) and free wash
& storage of the divers personal gear. All are boat dives to an extraordinary
variety of dive sites. After years of exploring reefs, canyons, walls &
wrecks, DIVE ST. VINCENT has catalogued the best sites for their PADI &
NAUI certified center.

GETTING MARRIED
ON YOUNG ISLAND
Young Island is such a magical place that many of our guests are not only
Honeymooning but they also get married on Young Island; taking their vows
in one of the most romantic settings in the world. For them, we have
created a special wedding program so we can take care of all the arrangements.
The cost is $1,500 per couple and includes the following:
 THE
“I DO” OPTION INCLUDES:
A wedding coordinator who will personally take you to and from
the registrar for the registration and wedding license. Also included are
the marriage certificate and the registrar's fee.
Bride's bouquet, grooms boutonniere, wedding arch for the ceremony
decorations and the fee for the ordained minister.
Champagne (a bottle) and hors d'ouevres for the bride and groom
and two witnesses, a wedding cake, photographer and two dozen 4” x 6” prints
in an album with the negatives.
ABC “You're married!” In your own cottage, we'll serve
you a candlelight dinner that evening, and a champagne breakfast the next
morning. Nothing could be more romantic, more beautiful or more memorable
than your WEDDING AND HONEYMOON on Young Island.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Your passport AND Birth Certificate; legal proof if name has changed.
If married before, your divorce decree absolute.
If spouse deceased, the death certificate and first original marriage
certificate.
Notarized parental consent if under 21 years of age.
THE WAITING GAME:
You must be a resident of St. Vincent and the Grenadines for a minimum
of 24 hours, excluding the day of arrival, before you can apply for your
wedding license at the registrar's. This office is closed weekends
and public holidays. You must apply in person and the procedure takes
approximately two hours.
THE GAME'S UP:
You may marry immediately after you receive your wedding license.
Catholic and Church of England weddings must take place in the church.
EXTRA WEDDING OPTIONS:

Rates Cancellation and Minimum Stays Policies
There is a minimum stay of 7 nights for periods
overlapping Christmas & New Year's Day.
Cancellations:
Dec. 20, 2007 - Mar. 31, 2008: 45 days or 5 nights rental.
Apr. 1, 2008 - Dec. 20, 2008: 30 days or 3 nights rental.
NO SHOW or cancellation on day of arrival- FULL PAYMENT DUE.
Note: Change of dates for shorter stays with-in cancellation period
is considered a cancellation.
All cancellations of reservations must be notified to Young Island
Resort and Ralph Locke Islands (our reservations office) in writing, by
facsimile or e-mail.
There are no credits, refunds, or exchanges for any unused features
or for staying fewer nights than reserved.

Americans need passports to re-enter the United States from the Caribbean.
